I. Products Background
1) Producing Area of Dolomite
Dolomite is an important calcium magnesium resources on earth, is very rich in reserves. It is a very versatile and non-metallic mineral. And the best dolomite around the world is in Taiwan.
The great dolomite of Taiwan is in Da Zhuo Shui, Yi Lan
county of eastern Taiwan, Qing Chang Mountain, in Hualian county, He Ping, He
Ren and Wan Rong.
The main producer of domestic is in: Shan Dong province,
Liao Ning province, Shan Xi province, He Bei province and Hu Nan province and
Hu Bei province. The best dolomite of domestic is in Chen Jia Town, of Big
Stone Bridge, Liao Ning province.
2) Application
Dolomite is applied for Architecture (Cement), glass,
ceramics and paint industries. Therefore, Malaysia is not main source base
of dolomite. The main resource of Malaysia is tin, accounting for 16.4% of the
world's resources, second only to China.
II. Market Analysis
1) Pricing Comparison
Note: Mesh/micron is the standards unit for domestic and
international. The bigger the mesh is, the higher the precision of the powder
is and the higher the relating price is. The price is associated with color,
precision, order number, packaging (Transportation) method.
2) Price Analysis
Product price of D company product is 2.5 times higher
than that of domestic, minimum quantity is too much.
If exported abroad, customer needs to pay the freight from
factory to the port, including customs clearance, port handling charge and sea
transportation charge.
For example: customs clearance fee of 100 yuan/ton, the
sea freight charges $5000 / box - Africa. (Domestic transportation costs
100-120 yuan/ton not calculated)
3) Quality Analysis
The dolomite powder precision of D company is low. Due to
the difference in source and craft, powder of D company is only defined as
sand. Powder commonly used in pottery and glass industry, which has high
quality in color and precision. Sand is usually applied to steel and building
materials industry.
