Visiting to White Cloud Temple

At afternoon of Jun. 13, 2016, our team visited Taoism Culture Research Center—White Cloud Temple which is near to our company. White Cloud Temple, also called Marine White Cloud Temple, was constructed in eight years of Guang Xu (G.X. generation of Qing dynasty, 1882), was formerly named Temple of God of Thunder. Fourteen years of the Guang Xu emperor, Qing dynasty (1888), Xu Zhi Cheng got more than 8,000 volumes of Orthodox Taoism Classics which were written in Ming dynasty, then presented them in The Tripitaka Sutra Pavilion, and therefore changed the name of this temple from Temple of God of Thunder to White Cloud Temple. That is to say, this is the branch temple of White Cloud Temple in Beijing, the main temple of Shanghai Quan Zhen Taoism. After the baptism of history, White Cloud Temple looks very different from what it was before, but their primitive simplicity is still visible. Though located in the center of this city, it can still get quietness from the noisy world. White Cloud Temple is indeed a piece of pure land in the downtown.
