The 17th Shanghai International Automobile Industry Exhibition

Louis let me visit the 17th Shanghai International Automobile Industry Exhibition. I was so excited because I can see a lot of limos.


Let’s talk about the venue first. The venue is 360 thousand square meters amount to 857 basketball fields. Second, there are about 1000 domestic and foreign automobile enterprises. BMW, Benz, Volkswagen, Ford, GM and so many famous automobile enterprises are all attend this exhibition.

Let’s talk about the cars then. This exhibition was displayed 113 global debut cars (30 cars from foreign enterprises, 83 cars from domestic enterprises), 159 green cars (96 cars from domestic enterprises, 63 cars from foreign enterprises), 56 concept cars and 44 Asia debut cars from foreign enterprises.


We can see that green cars are a big part of this exhibition. I think it’s tally with the theme of this exhibition: Committed to Better Life. In my opinion, better life doesn’t mean live in a city which full of haze. Louis told me that German will control the automotive exhaust emission into zero emission in the future. In other words, environmental problems may accelerate the pace of the car's development and new energy will replace petrol one day.


Foreign enterprises also pay attention to concept cars, which means, their innovation is beyond our domestic enterprises. A few days ago, I saw a sentence on a LED screen, it says: Innovation a soul of nation. But plagiarism phenomenon is very common in today’s China. China should have their own idea of design.

The spotlight of this exhibition is Icona. At first time I know nothing about Icona, just saw lots of people around it and I decided to see what’s going on. There can be no doubt that the exterior of Icona is awesome, but the price was the big shock to me.

My mission of this exhibition is to visit a CRM manager and a show manager from some luxury car companies. PIONEER had served some heavy motorcycle brands before. We hope to use the experience of the luxury car companies in marketing and product placement for reference. They all talked about the importance of customer experience, brand spread and meet the requirement of social development. We will absorb the essence from their experience and serve our customers better.


This is my personal reflections after attended the 17th Shanghai International Automobile Industry Exhibition.
